Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for full-time, 36 hours per week. The role supports RN/LPN in patient care within the CDU, including 12-hour night shifts (6:30p-7:00a) and adherence to Mercy training programs.

Responsibilities include clinical and non-clinical tasks, teamwork, and ensuring patient wellness. Training, BLS, and career ladder opportunities are provided by Mercy.

Qualifications

• None required. If no previous experience, will be considered for PCA role in which Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program that meets the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirements.
• Preferred Experience: EMT, Paramedic or previous patient care experience (i.e. PCA, CNA, or active nursing student).
• Required Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum or age 18 and able to participate in Mercy's UAP training program and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month of hire, completion of PCT competencies within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred Certifications: CNA, EMT, AUA in state of practice, CPCT.

Responsabilités

• Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in individualized patient care to achieve wellness.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.
• Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals.

High school diploma / GED / CNA or CPCT enrolled in Mercy's UAP training program
