Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team. The role focuses on direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, promoting safety, satisfaction, and high-quality outcomes across a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of the following: CNA, Medical Assistant or PCT program; Fundamentals of Nursing program; HMH PCT Apprenticeship; or equivalent medical background.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS/HCP) certification within 60 days of start date.
• At least 1 year PCT/CNA experience in a hospital setting is preferred or eligible for the HMH PCT apprentice program.
• Medical Office Assistant Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support as part of interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor and document patient status, vitals, and progress.
• Assist with patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
• Support with admissions, examinations, procedures, and transfers.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
