Qualifications

• High school or GED required with ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Completion of one of the listed care/assistance programs or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a team, focus on patient safety, and improve patient care outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living per patient needs.
• Maintain clear communication with nursing staff regarding patient status and care delivered.
• Demonstrate initiative to help beyond basic requirements and support care plans from admission to discharge.
• Participate in interdisciplinary plan-of-care discussions and unit PI activities.
• Support patient safety and comfort across clinical tasks and environment.

Medical Assistant program

Patient Care Technician program

Fundamentals of Nursing program from an accredited school

HMH PCT Apprenticeship Program
