Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our NJ hospital team. You will perform direct patient care under the guidance of registered nurses, supporting admissions, assessments and safety initiatives across a diverse patient population.

Required are a HS diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or equivalent, and BLS certification within 60 days. Prior hospital experience is preferred, with a strong focus on teamwork and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or equivalent.
• BLS for healthcare providers within 60 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision as part of the care team.
• Document vital signs, samples, and assessments in the patient record.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharge planning, and safety checks.
• Support patient comfort, hygiene and nutrition needs as directed.
