Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our Advanced Acute Care Units. The role includes delivering high-quality patient care, supporting nurses, and maintaining a safe, efficient unit environment.

A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates, with a minimum hiring rate of $18.94 per hour and up to $3 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, punctuality and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver high-quality patient care and support to the care team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities of daily living (ADLs): hygiene, mobility, meals.
• Monitor vital signs and daily weights; conduct point-of-care testing.
• Assist with dressing, turns/repositions, and Foley catheter removal as applicable.
• Document care and maintain accurate medical records; ensure patient safety.
• Support licensed nurses and coordinate patient transport and unit workflow.
