Job summary

Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Technician for night shifts (36 hours/week). The role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and a starting rate of $18.94 per hour, with increased rates for experience and up to $3 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

ACE Nursing Model of Care expands duties for PCTs, enabling career advancement and greater involvement in patient care under nursing supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - (Required)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year - Related work experience (Preferred)
• Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months - Default Issuing Body

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including hygiene, toileting, mobility, and meals
• Collect vital signs and daily weights
• Perform point-of-care testing
• Provide patient care under RN supervision and ensure safety across the unit
• Support coordination of care and help with daily workflows
