Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff and ensure patient safety and well-being. The role focuses on providing basic care and compassionate service to patients.

You will assist with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and monitoring vitals, while documenting changes and supporting medical procedures as directed by licensed clinicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Answers patient calls and helps patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feeds patients and measures/records their food and liquid intake.
• Monitors and documents patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reports changes.
• Assists nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
