CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support safety and comfort for patients in a hospital setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma (preferably), BLS certification, and prior hospital experience is a plus. Schedule runs 7PM to 7AM on a full-time basis, and the facility offers comprehensive patient care teams.

Summary:

Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and ensures patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
• Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS required.
