Job summary

Baystate Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Acute Care for Elders team in Springfield, MA. The role involves delivering hands-on patient care under an RN, including hygiene, mobility, and vital signs, with duties across phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• PCT training or CNA training preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Level II: High School diploma or GED.
• Level III/IV: 3+ years patient care or 1+ year as Level II at Baystate Health; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care under RN supervision, including hygiene, mobility, and vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing; assist with procedures and patient transport.
• Support emergency response protocols and maintain patient safety.
