Jefferson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the 2NE Orthopaedics/Urology PDN. The role involves delivering direct patient care under RN supervision, maintaining patient safety, and supporting treatment in a fast-paced nursing department at Jefferson Regional Main Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong communication, empathy, and adaptability, with experience in healthcare preferred.

• Variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on unit need. Refer back to posting on which shift is available. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Job Summary:

The Patient Care Technician I plays a critical role in the healthcare team by providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. They will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, providing compassionate and empathetic care while maintain patient dignity and confidentiality. The PCT will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment and recovery.

Patient Care Technician I Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position.*
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills for the electronic medical record
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
