Job summary

Jefferson Regional Main Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR, seeks a Patient Care Technician II to join the 2NE Ortho Uro unit on a full-time days schedule. The role supports RN-led care, ensures patient comfort, and maintains dignity and confidentiality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of a PCT or CNA program. Safety-sensitive position with weekend/holiday rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a patient care technician or certified nurse assistant program required.
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for the electronic medical record.
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
• Capacity to handle exposure to various clinical environments and potential infectious materials.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Preferred soft skills: empathy, compassion, problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Previous experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting preferred.

Job Summary:

The Patient Care Technician II plays a critical role in the healthcare team by providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
