Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for the Med Surg Department. The role involves performing vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and following the care plan under RN supervision.

A CNA program completion and CNA exam are required, with MD CNA licensure and BLS certification mandated. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am) and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• CNA program completion and CNA exam required
• Maryland CNA license required
• BLS certification required
• Effective command of English (spoken and written)
• Physical ability to lift, bend and turn
• Experience in acute care preferred
• Strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Follow the care plan established and delegated by the RN
• Receive report from the RN
• Ensure a culture of safety
• Identify and report malfunctioning/expired equipment
• Maintain clean and properly stored work areas
