Job summary

BHMG Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Pulmonary department. You will check in patients, obtain vital signs, document history, and assist with medication reconciliation under physician supervision.

The role requires Basic Life Support and orientation within 90 days of hire, with training provided as needed. Strong computer skills and a patient-centered approach are essential.

BHMG Pulmonary Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for the examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician. Duties include but not limited to the following: check in patients, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, temperature) and medication reconciliation, patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic with supplies, navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), and performing other non-clinical duties as needed. The PCT will communicate in a respectful manner and will uphold Baptist’s mission and core values that drive service excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.
• Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days of hire.
• Upon hire these disciplines will be required to attend orientation| externship and additional training as needed.
• PCT, SRNA, Nursing Assistant, CNA, NCT, Nursing Care Tech.
