Job summary

Baptist Health’s BHMG Georgetown Student Health Clinic is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with examination and treatment under physician supervision. Responsibilities include check-in, vital signs, history intake, and medication reconciliation.

You will support patient flow, rooming, and EPIC navigation. Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with confidential information databases.
• BLS or equivalent training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients and obtain vital signs (height, weight, BP, pulse, SpO2, temperature).
• Take medical history information and complete medication reconciliation.
• Expedite patient flow, room patients, and stock clinic with supplies.

BHMG Georgetown Student Health Clinic - Georgetown College M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for the examination and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician. Duties include but not limited to the following: check in patients, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, temperature) and medication reconciliation, patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic with supplies, navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), and performing other non-clinical duties as needed. The PCT will communicate in a respectful manner and will uphold Baptist’s mission and core values that drive service excellence. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information. Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days of hire. Upon hire these disciplines will be required to attend orientation| externship and additional training as needed.
