Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support daily living activities for patients under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, and mobility while maintaining high standards of safety and ethics.

You will communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team and participate in care planning. The role requires completion of a PCT course or CNA program (or an equivalent year of direct patient care) and a valid BLS

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding).
• Support mobility and transport for patients.
• Perform vital signs and point-of-care testing as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs where certified.
• Document changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Participate in patient education, safety, and care planning.
• Support department goals and orientation for new hires.
