Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist with activities of daily living under the direction of a Registered Nurse or LPN. You will support the healthcare team, communicate with patients and families, and uphold high professional ethics.

You will perform bedside tasks, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility, and reinforce patient education. Strong communication and basic care skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completed PCT course or CNA program, or 1 year of direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting) and mobility.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs as certified, and document changes in patient status.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety issues.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
