Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic patient care skills and standards are required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• BLS certification is required.
• Phlebotomy training/education is required for ED positions.
• High School Diploma or GED and completion of a PCT course/CNA program or RN fundamentals course or equivalent patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility).
• Monitor vital signs and perform basic nursing tasks as directed by RN/LPN.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
