Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within orientation; kept current while in position.
• Experience preferred but training may be provided on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygienic care and assist with assigned procedures based on age-specific needs.
• Answer call lights and record vital signs per unit specification.
• Assist with admissions, reposition patients every two hours, and ambulate patients as needed.
• Assist with meals, pass trays, and help patients who cannot feed themselves.
• Document baths, turns, intake/output, bowel movements, and ambulation in the EMR.
• Assist with transport, stock upkeep, and unit cleanliness.
