Job summary

Qualifications

• Answers call lights and records vital signs.
• Assists with admissions by taking vital signs, weights, and assisting patient with gowning.
• Repositions patients every two hours and ambulates as needed.
• Assists with meals and feeds patients unable to feed themselves.
• Records intake and output and maintains patient charts.
• Enters orders into the EMR and schedules procedures; notifies licensed personnel.
• Transports patients and keeps department clean and stocked.
• Assists with incentive spirometers and document care in chart.

Responsibilities

• BLS certification must be obtained within orientation and kept current.
