Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN, seeks a nursing assistant (unlicensed) to provide hygienic care and support for assigned patients under supervision. You will take vital signs, assist with admissions, reposition patients every two hours, and help with meals and ambulation in a busy clinical unit.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent; BLS within orientation; training available. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within orientation period and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Answers call lights and monitors patient conditions per unit protocol.
• Records vital signs, weights, intake and output.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and telemetry setup.
• Repositions patients every two hours and assists with mobility.
• Assists with meals and feeding for patients unable to feed themselves.
• Documents baths, care activities, intake/output, and other nursing notes in the EMR.
