Job summary

Responsibilities include answering call lights, taking vital signs, assisting with admissions, repositioning and ambulating patients, aiding meals, documenting intake and output in the EMR, and helping with transport and tidying the department to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within orientation.
• Experience preferred, but on-the-job training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Answers call lights and monitors patient vitals per unit spec.
• Obtains and records patient vital signs; assists admissions with vitals and telemetry setup.
• Repositions patients every two hours and assists with ambulation.
• Assists with meals, feeds patients unable to feed themselves, and ensures a clean dining area.
• Documents baths, vitals, intake/output, and care in the EMR; schedule procedures as needed.
• Assists with patient transport and keeps department tidy and stocked.
