Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of patient care experience in a health care facility or CNA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily needs.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist nursing staff with basic treatments.
• Ensure adequate patient care supplies and clean linen.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Position patients and assist with mobility as needed.
• Assist with drains, ostomies, and catheters.
• Perform blood sugar checks as directed by nursing staff.
• Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.
