Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Care Technician to support a patient-centered care model under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCT will measure and document vital signs, assist with daily activities, and monitor patient conditions while supporting nursing staff with basic treatments.

This PRN, hourly position requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year patient care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with everyday needs (hygiene, restroom, grooming).
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition.
• Assist nursing staff in basic treatments.
• Ensure rooms have adequate supplies and clean linen.
• Provide emotional support to patients.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor.
• Perform blood sugar checks.
