Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support a decentralized patient-centered approach under RN supervision. You will measure and document vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help move patients as needed.

This PRN, hourly role reports to the Nurse Manager and collaborates with the Care Team to ensure comfort and safety. A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least one year of patient care experience preferred and BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience in a health care facility preferred.
• BLS required on hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with everyday needs (hygiene, restroom, grooming).
• Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, etc.) and patient condition.
• Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments.
• Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies and linens.
• Provide emotional support to patients.
• Assist with patient monitoring (cardiac monitor as needed).
• Support with other department duties as assigned by leadership.
