Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support a decentralized, patient-centered care model. Under RN supervision, you will measure vital signs, address patient concerns, and assist with activities of daily living to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and ideally 1+ year of patient-care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility or CNA preferred.
• BLS required upon hire and maintained (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR/AED).

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with everyday needs (hygiene, restroom, grooming).
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition.
• Assist nursing staff with basic treatments.
• Ensure rooms have adequate supplies and clean linen.
• Provide emotional support to patients.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor.
• Perform blood sugar checks.
