Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician for full-time day shifts (6A–6P) with rotating days. You will support patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other tasks under the supervision of an RN.

Required are a HS diploma or equivalent and BLS within 30 days of hire; one year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with daily living activities.
• Monitor vital signs and mobility; document changes.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection and catheter procedures.
• Adhere to patient safety practices under RN supervision.
