Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Full-time Night Patient Care Technician. You will assist with vitals, blood draws, daily patient care, and discharge processes under supervision of a nurse. The role includes bathing, ambulating patients, catheter care and teamwork with the nursing staff.

Experience: 1 year preferred; education: high school or equivalent. Schedule includes every other weekend rotation and night shifts 6P-6A.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience or equivalent in patient care.
• Ability to work under RN supervision and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Support admission and discharge processes for patients.
• Change, bathe and ambulate patients as needed.
• Draw blood and assist with Foley catheter care.
• Meet patient needs while working under a nurse’s supervision.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality care.
