Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia Campus is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support the Stroke Progressive Care Unit. Under the direction of a registered nurse, you will assist with ADLs, monitor patients, and help maintain a clean, safe environment that supports family-centered care.

Shifts are 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; full-time status with every other weekend and three holidays per year required. Benefits begin Day One, with a comprehensive package and opportunities for growth within Trinity

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Preferred minimum of one year direct care experience or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in completing ADLs.
• Demonstrate sterile or aseptic technique as appropriate when performing delegated activities.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe, and conducive to patient/family well being.
• Record patient information and required data in appropriate areas to meet documentation and charging requirements.
• Complete delegated unit-specific activities.

Position Purpose

Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technician is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family well being including concepts of relationship based care.

Shifts Available: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Status available: Full-time

Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Experience
