Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ is hiring a Patient Care Technician/Phlebotomist to assist with daily living activities, perform phlebotomy and EKGs in the Emergency Department, and support the care team.

Under RN/LPN supervision you will help with bathing, mobility and vital signs, communicate with patients and families, and participate in patient satisfaction and quality initiatives. A high school diploma or GED and completion of a PCT course or RN fundamentals are required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience required and EKG experience preferred in ED positions.
• Must communicate effectively with patients and families and support healthcare team.
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a PCT course or RN fundamentals is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Perform phlebotomy and EKG duties as assigned for ED patients.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes; assist with isolation precautions.
• Support patient education and participate in quality initiatives.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
