Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a part-time Labor and Delivery PCT to support patients with daily activities, monitor vitals, and assist nursing staff. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include observing patient progress, documenting reports, collecting specimens, and assisting with transport and basic housekeeping. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification, or currently enrolled in nursing school.

Responsibilities

• Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, including assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Additionally, this position measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.
