Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Day-shift, full-time Intermediate Care - Stepdown (IMC) Patient Care Technician (PCT). The role involves supporting nursing staff with basic patient care and ADLs, monitoring vitals, and assisting with specimen collection.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED; PCT/CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Nurse.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
