Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and direct patient care, ensuring comfort, safety and personal needs of patients in a fast-paced setting.

You will support activities of daily living, assist with hygiene, and work as part of a unit-based, self-directed care team alongside licensed and non-licensed teammates.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One year of patient care experience (CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Required

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
