Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and direct patient care. You will help with activities of daily living and support personal needs in a unit-based, self-directed team.

The role requires BLS, Georgia CNA/ CMA/ RMA or NHA certs and at least one year of acute patient care experience. Evening and weekend shifts and a fast-paced environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Valid CNA certification on the Georgia Registry is required.
• Alternative credentials: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT) or CCA (NHA) accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing assistance.
• Support patient comfort, safety and personal needs as part of a unit-based care team.
• Perform duties with collaboration of licensed and non-licensed team members.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
