Job summary

The position operates in a unit-based, self-directed patient care team alongside licensed and non-licensed staff. Requires BLS, CNA GA Registry or alternative certifications, and at least one year of direct patient care experience; weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• CNA GA Registry or CMA/AMT/CCMA options with 1 year direct patient care experience.
• Experience as CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or similar acute patient care role.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care for comfort and safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Work Hours:

7AM-7:30PM
