Job summary

White Oak Medical Center is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician for Med Surg. The role supports nursing care by performing vital signs and activities of daily living under an RN, while following care plans and ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include reporting to the RN, maintaining a clean work environment, and participating in ongoing professional development. Employment is full-time with night shifts and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Successful CNA training and CNA exam completed.
• English language proficiency (spoken and written) required.
• Physical ability to lift/bend/turn.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Follow care plan as established and delegated by the RN and receive report.
• Maintain safety culture and report equipment malfunctions or expired supplies.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and properly stored.
• Participate in department and organizational education, meetings, and initiatives.
• Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
