White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for the Med Surg Department to support the mission of compassionate, faith-based care.

The role involves performing vital signs, assisting with ADLs under RN supervision, and participating in safety-focused care, with shift basics including 36 hours/week, day shifts, and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA License required.
• AHA/American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Effective command of English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet lifting, bending and turning requirements.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plan as established by the RN and report to RN.
• Ensure safety and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Participate in education programs, meetings, and professional initiatives.
