Job summary

University of New Mexico Hospitals is hiring a CNA to provide direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will interview patients, take vital signs, assist with ADLs, transport patients, and help orient new staff.

Essential duties include maintaining supplies, documenting on the EMR, and supporting patient safety while working as part of a multidisciplinary team. A CNA or EMT certification and a high school diploma are required; bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA or Cert EMTB certification required or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and another language (e.g., Spanish, Native languages) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, non-invasive patient care within in-patient or out-patient settings.
• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Transport patients and support orientation of new staff.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and document care in the EMR.
