Job summary

South Texas Health System in Texas is seeking a multi-role healthcare support professional who can act as a Certified Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomist, EKG Technician, and Unit Secretary. You will provide patient care, perform specimen collection, monitor EKGs, and support unit operations, while complying with hospital policies.

The role requires flexibility for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call status within the assigned shift.

Qualifications

• Familiar with basic patient care standards for all age groups.
• Basic EKG skills preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Computer Data Entry skills required, preferably Microsoft Office.
• Six (6) months or more experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Must demonstrate commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Perform CNA, phlebotomy, EKG technician, and unit secretary duties.
• Maintain performance skills and adherence to patient care standards.
• Routinely work weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or on-call status as assigned.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures and maintain professional conduct.
