Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Patient Care Tech III in the United States. This non-exempt, day-shift role works under licensed clinicians to provide patient care and assist the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, performing EKGs and lab prep, and ensuring patient safety. A $3,000 signing bonus is eligible for external new hires; eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Under the direction of a licensed clinician, provides patient care to meet personal needs and comfort of patients.
• Assists members of the healthcare team and maintains patient safety.
• Performs tasks such as taking vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy in certain locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations.
• Maintains safety and applies interventions to de-escalate as directed.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Performs unit-specific procedures and supports treatment preparations.
