Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Experience as PCA/PCT/NA/LPN/EMT or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in an acute or long-term care facility or in a nursing program.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and straight catheterization.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, EKG, etc. (50%).
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and falls prevention, rounding, and hygiene protocols (20%).
• Documents vitals, I&O, meds and treatments; reports changes to nursing staff (15%).
• Assists with unit activities like supply stocking and equipment cleaning (15%).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
