Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists the RN in the delivery of patient care.
• Reports to charge RN for assignment of duties.
• Maintains a safe patient environment.
• Sets priority of duties based on patient needs.
• Participates in implementing individualized care plans.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Documents care in patient records at the point of care.
• Performs routine procedures and specimen collections.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique as needed.
• Assists with advanced procedures and with tubes and drains.
• Performs blood glucose testing and specimen collection.
• Transports patients and belongings as required.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and transports.
• Communicates information to team members across shifts.
