Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Clinton, Massachusetts seeks a Patient Care Technician I to assist in patient care activities under the direction of a licensed clinician. Responsibilities include vital sign measurements, patient assistance with daily activities, and maintaining a safe care environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to remain calm in stress or emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations.
• Participates in maintaining a safe environment.
• Assists patients with daily living activities.
• Takes and records vital signs and measures patients’ height and weight.

Skills

Basic Life Support certification

Ability to communicate in English
