Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to assist the healthcare team in caring for patients. You will perform vital signs, EKGs, and daily living activities, while ensuring safety and compassionate patient support.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 30 days; English literacy and basic computer/medical terminology knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patient care and daily living activities.
• Take and record vital signs, perform EKGs and POC tests.
• Support safety and comfort of patients and families.
