Job summary

Wilmington Surgcare in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist medical staff with patient care, handle equipment, and guide patients to the correct rooms under supervision.

Requirements include a graduate of a patient care tech program (preferred) with at least six months related experience, current American Heart Association certification, and a BLS certificate. An Employee Assistance Plan and 401(k) with company match are provided.

Responsibilities

• Unbagging and bagging equipment, make up post op kits and direct doctors and patients to the appropriate rooms.
• Assist medical staff with patient care.
• Perform visual fields and set up patients for required testing.
• Keep instruments and equipment sterilized and maintain adequate supplies; keep front and back waiting rooms in order.
