Premier Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 4 MW Med/Surg department. The role supports nurses and doctors by performing vital signs, patient assistance, specimen collection, and documentation while ensuring patient safety.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with eligible STNA/CNA training or nursing-related clinical experience; enrolled nursing students with rotations are considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of STNA/CNA training or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training is acceptable.
• Direct patient care experience within the last five years is a plus.
• Currently enrolled in nursing school with at least one clinical rotation may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Assist patients with mobility, dressing, and meals.
• Collect samples (e.g., urine) for tests.
• Report changes in patient condition to a nurse.
• Perform ADLs and weigh patients; monitor vitals as needed.
