Job summary

Ascension is seeking staff for the Float Pool in Baltimore, MD, working night shifts on a part-time basis. The role involves assisting with patient movement, personal care, and daily living activities while ensuring rooms are clean and equipment is maintained.

Qualified candidates will hold a Maryland Nurse Aide credential and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire. A high school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of related experience, is required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Nurse Aide credentialed by Maryland Board of Nursing.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience required.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Reports changes in physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff and documents records.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and maintains medical equipment.

Education

BLS Provider within 1 month (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)

Nurse Aide credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing

High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
