Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff with patient care delivery, documentation, and unit maintenance. The role includes vital signs, intake/output, hygiene assistance, mobility, and safe operation of care equipment.

Requirements include CNA program completion, high school, English communication, and BLS; preferred one year healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Req High school or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Certified Nursing Program.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
• Pref 1 year Experience in a health care setting.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CA DPH) certification, or grandfathered if applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call within 10 minutes and assist with care needs.
• Assist with meals/feeding and hygiene tasks.
• Ambulation, mobility, and turning patients every 2 hours.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, meal percentages, and equipment used.
• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and communicate plans with RN.
• Collaborate with the RN/Charge Nurse to ensure patient care is delivered safely.
