Trinity Health Livonia Campus is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role emphasizes age-specific and holistic patient care, preserving a safe, clean environment while executing delegated tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year of direct care experience preferred or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care as delegated by the RN in pursuing treatment goals.
• Assists patients in completing ADLs.
• Demonstrates sterile or aseptic technique as appropriate when performing delegated activities.
• Maintains a clean, safe patient environment conducive to patient/family well‑being.
• Records patient information in appropriate areas to meet documentation and charging requirements.
• Completes delegated unit‑specific activities.

Position Purpose Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technicianis responsible fordirect patient care considering age specific, developmental,culturaland spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/familywell beingincluding concepts ofrelationship basedcare.

Shifts Available: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Status available: Full-time, Part-time, Contingent/PRN Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Education High school diploma or GED.
