Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia Campus is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Surgical Unit. This part-time role involves rotating shifts (7:00am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:00am) under RN supervision, focusing on direct patient care and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred minimum of one year of direct care experience or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in completing ADLs.
• Demonstrates sterile or aseptic technique as appropriate when performing delegated activities.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe, and conducive to patient/family well being.
• Records patient information and required data in appropriate areas to meet documentation and charging requirements.
• Completes delegated unit specific activities.

Position Purpose

Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technicianis responsible fordirect patient care considering age specific, developmental,culturaland spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies. Assists in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/familywell beingincluding concepts ofrelationship basedcare.

Shifts Available:

7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Status available:

Full-time, Part-time, Contingent/PRN

Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.

Required Qualifications:

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Experience
