The Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Senior Unit, a 20-bed unit focused on compassionate, high-quality care for older adults. This position offers exposure to both medical and mental health care in a dynamic team setting.

The role involves direct patient care, coordination with physicians and therapists, and a commitment to safety and dignity for patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalence.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) licensing preferred.
• Minimum age requirement 16 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, direct patient care including ambulating, bathing, positioning, and basic nursing tasks.
• Enter diet information into the computer, pass meal trays, assist with feeding and care needs.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and special needs; assist with transferring and transporting patients.
